Happy Tuesday, everyone! How was everyone’s weekend? My family and I spent the weekend preparing for our open house taking place at one of our featured Bargain Mansions from the show NEXT WEEKEND! We are selling anything and everything we use for staging in the homes and trust me, it will be filled floor to ceiling! We can’t wait.. and I REEALLLYYY can’t wait to have my own dining room back. HA! It’s filled with all the stuff and I want it out! SO, for those of you who are here in Kansas City (or anyone else!!), mark your calendars for December 8&9 from 10:00-5:00! The house is located in Hyde Park, but we will announce the address on social media the day before the sale, so make sure to follow here!

Today, can we PLEASE talk about the upper levels of the Warwick house from last week’s episode?! Crazy transformation, right? For those of you who missed it.. no worries – you can find all the fun details here. Let’s head on up..!

If I had to choose my absolute favorite feature of the Warwick house, it would 100% be this stairwell… It was unreal! You could see all the way up to the top floor and I loved that! Every day we worked in this house, I got an insane workout! ha! My goal was to restore this stairwell back to its original beauty, making it a jaw-dropping focal point as soon as you walk in the door.

Like I mentioned in the first Warwick post, this house was being utilized as separate apartments, so like the main floor, the upstairs had a super awkward flow and was so confusing! I honestly had no clue what was going on up there. Similar to what we did in Charlotte, we had our crew convert THREE of the bedrooms into a master suite. We decided to convert this play room into the master bedroom.. I loved the amount of natural light it received and I was obsessed with the windows.

This yellow brick bedroom right off the playroom was converted to the AMAZING master closet…

And THIS blue bedroom would be the master bath. The photo below will give you an idea of how it was all laid out!

I couldn’t wait to turn it in to a beautiful, spacious master suite! This house had so many bedrooms that we actually could afford to use three of them as the master suite!

We were lucky enough to find beautiful hardwood floors under the carpet in the master bedroom! Our crew sanded them down and stained them a rich dark stain to add a nice contrast with the neutral walls.

Light Fixtures: Arteriors | Closet System: Life Uncluttered | Wallpaper: Seabrook | Carpet: Mo-Kan | Flower Arrangement: Branches & Twigs

As you can see, we decided to go ALL out for this master closet. Isn’t this a dream? We wanted this space to feel very clean and tidy, so we went with very simple, sturdy shelving. In the end, we did decide it needed a LITTLE spunk, so we added this fun Seabrook wallpaper and modern light fixtures from Arteriors. We loved the simple, elegant feel of this space.

We converted the blue bedroom into this LUXURIOUS master bath! This vintage soaking tub actually came from one of the first floor bathrooms that we converted to a half bath. I was happy we had a place for it upstairs! Our crew installed an oversized rainfall shower with french windows that will seriously make the owner feel like they are at a spa resort! This bathroom turned out to be one of my parts of the house.

One of the best parts about this master bath is this towel warmer from Warmly Yours! It’s HEATED!! Seriously, it is one of those products that will just CHANGE YOUR LIFE!

Of course, there was a kitchen on the second floor. (?????) With the large, open kitchen on the first floor now, we knew this was unnecessary, so our crew removed all of the appliances and cabinets and I saved them for another project.  We wanted the new owners of this home to have some flexibility on how they used this room, so our crew installed a murphy bed so it could double as a bedroom and an office space. It turned out really cute!

Doing laundry is not typically a fun task (unless you’re one of those people who finds it therapeutic…), so I like to do what I can to bring a little life into the laundry spaces I design. As you can see below, I did not hold back! How can you not be happy in a room full of butterflies?….

One more floor! Ahhhh, still drooling over this stairwell.

Luckily, this bathroom on the third floor actually didn’t need any major renovations! Our crew replaced the tile, added a fresh coat of paint, cleaned up the brick and added some new light fixtures. The bathroom had such a vintage, urban feel that we just loved!

And there we have it!! What a ride! The Warwick home turned out absolutely STUNNING and we can’t wait for a new family to move in and call it home. Honestly, that’s what makes this job totally worth it in the end…witnessing the happiness these homes bring to their families. What is your favorite room in the house? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

Have a great week everyone and I will catch you all on Wednesday night at 9 PM CST for a new episode of Bargain Mansions on DIY NETWORK!
