Hi everyone! I hope you all had a terrific weekend and were able to get outside and enjoy some of the amazing weather we had! (For those of you in KC, that is!) ;) It was sooo nice to see a little sunshine on Saturday! It’s amazing what a little vitamin D can do for my mood… who’s with me?
If you watch Bargain Mansions and/or follow me on Instagram, you know I’m a huge fan of artwork! My dad and I work on some BIG houses… and big houses have BIG walls! Adding large pieces of beautiful art is the best way to fill empty wall space and make a statement. It’s the perfect finishing touch to a room because it always ties everything together! The best part…? Original artwork can be found at ANY price point.
Over the past few weeks, a lot of you have reached out asking where I get all of my artwork for the show houses, so I thought I’d sit down and share a few of my go-to artists!
Kelly O’Neal
I love everything about Kelly O’Neal’s artwork! He uses color combinations that I often wouldn’t think to use and they always look incredible. His paintings have a sense of movement that I just love!
Audrey Benskin
Audrey Benskin’s paintings have such a soft, cheerful feel to them. I can hang her paintings anywhere, but I especially love to use them in kitchens and bedrooms!
Leopold Art Gallery
Leopold Art Gallery was such an awesome resource during our first season of Bargain Mansions. They’re a local art gallery in KC, carrying a wide variety of artwork from Kansas City artists as well as regional artists. They’re also a consulting firm, so they’re a fabulous resource for those of you who may need a little assistance picking out art for your home or office.
Jill Gapczynski
Jill Gapczynski is another one of my favorite local artists! The color palettes, the textures, the way you can see the movement of the brush strokes.. I love it all.

Since I started watching your show I was immediately drawn to the beautiful contemporary artwork in the final revel. The pieces you choose makes the room just come alive!! Does someone suggest which ones would work or do you select the ones for each room? Are they on loan or are the pieces yours? I just love them.

One piece of artwork we see a lot on the show is a frame which looks like 60 plus patches in it. Is that a special one to Tamara?
