Pool or no pool, that is the question! I have to say, here in the midwest that is a huge decision to make. We don’t have beautiful, sunny weather that makes you want to lay out by the pool all year. We are lucky to get four months of pool time with another two to three months of just hanging by the pool, but not actually hopping in. So, it is definitely a big investment! They look beautiful, but it is a personal decision. Which side are you?!
MODERN FARMHOUSE
On the beautiful farmhouse, there was no question on whether we were going to keep the pool or not! It is the focal point of this backyard! I think the way we were able to deck all the way around the pool with this beautiful Del Conca tile made this feel really modern and clean, but also have a sleek California vibe that you can’t help but love!
Another awesome thing is that there was originally hardly any pool decking area to begin with because it was all concrete with a significantly smaller footprint. We created enough space that you could literally have a party out here just on the Del Conca tile decking! The big improvement for this whole area was increasing the footprint as well as making it look clean, modern, and cool to the touch :) Perfect for summertime!
LAKE HOUSE
For this home there was no way we could salvage this pool. It didn’t make sense with the budget and time frame we had, but I have to say, the finished patio turned out pretty amazing!
Dad always seems to disappear when the hard work starts!! ;)
Now, all I have to do is sit back, relax and enjoy that gorgeous view!
