I am always on the go, so whenever any second of free time with family comes my way, I’ll take it! Creating a space my family can relax and enjoy one another is huge. I always wanted our backyard to feel just as comfortable and cozy as the inside of our house. I spent the past year or two really making that happen. Here are a few tips I’ve learned along the road to turn your backyard into an oasis.

Plan the Space

Enjoy family time outsideBefore we started construction, I took a lot of time to figure out how our family would use our backyard. I made sure to add a ton of fun things for the kids like a trampoline, slide, and putting green. And in each of those areas, there is a comfy seating area where I can relax after a long day and hang out with the kids at the same time.

Invest in Furniture

Outdoor furniture is an investment that is 100% worth it. I wanted beautiful furniture that I knew would stay beautiful year after year. I went with Polywood for all my outdoor furniture. It is incredible what a difference good quality furniture makes. I don’t have to worry about what the crazy Kansas weather will do to it.

Add in Your Personality

Adding cushions is a great way to add pops of color and personality to your space. Polywood has a fantastic selection of cushions, from bold patterns to neutral solids. There is something that will bring life to your backyard! When I’m entertaining, I love adding a ton of pillows and a few throw blankets, so it’s super comfy for guests.

I mean, how easy is that? Now enjoy your space with a cold glass of wine! Check out Polywood, my whole backyard and get inspired on polywood.com. I can’t wait to see what your space turns into!
