The Challenge: Balancing Light and Comfort

When my team and I design a space, we’re always thinking about balance: how to let the natural light pour in but still give a room the ability to feel cozy, private, and intimate when it needs to. Denise’s dining room was the perfect example of that challenge, and it’s one of my favorite recent transformations thanks to our friends at Solar Shield.

From the beginning, Denise knew her dining room needed to feel open and bright. Those big windows are a dream, but without the right treatments, you get all the glare and none (emphasis on the none) of the comfort.

The Transformation

For this project, Denise chose the Alta – Group F – Woven Wood Shades, and we couldn’t be happier with how they look.
