I love this little area right in the heart of Kansas City. This is a traditional shirtwaist-style home. We’ve done many shirt-waist houses on Bargain Mansions. I love the charming front decks on a shirtwaist home. If you look really close you can see me really enjoying it!

Entryway

I can’t believe how spacious this entryway turned out. A built-in bench with hooks for jackets and bags is the perfect catch-all. We went with wide-plank light floors throughout the house. They are super durable and easy to clean in-between renters.

Living Room

A welcoming, cozy living room is a must for a short-term rental. We created an open concept for the main floor. I love that people in the kitchen and living room can still talk and hear each other so no one is missing out on any of the fun!

Since this is a short term rental I wanted this kitchen to be spacious, well laid out, and easy to navigate. Open shelves are perfect so renters can come in a see exactly what they need and not have to dig through tons of cabinets and drawers.

Main Bedroom

When I first walked this house, I was having trouble deciding which room was the main bedroom. We added a bathroom to this room and created a calming main suite. The perfect place to relax after exploring Kansas City!

Main Bathroom

We added a much needed bathroom to off of the main bedroom. Since the bathroom is smaller we really used every inch. I added an accent wall in the shower to draw your eye in and make the space feel larger.
