My clients Ryan and Reagan live outside Kansas City in Olathe, KS. They purchased this foreclosure for a bargain. They immediately started demoing and renovating and called my team and me for some design help.

Entryway

We made the entryway feel intentional and separated from the living room. We freshened up the space by adding new lighting and a pop of wallpaper in the wainscoting. We also went ahead and gave the hallway some love too with whimsical wallpaper.

Living Room

The entryway opens up into this fantastic two-story living room. The floor-to-ceiling fireplace steals the show and makes the space feel elegant and grand but still cozy. To update the fireplace, we added faux stone that brightened up the room. We used the same chandelier from the entryway in the living room to tie the spaces together. (I can’t get over my son, Bobby made that side table!!)

Main Bedroom

Talk about an oasis! This bedroom is the perfect blend of modern and cozy. We created a feature wall with trim and painted the whole room a moody navy wall color. The perfect finishing touch was a pop of wallpaper in the ceiling with a modern light fixture.

Kitchen

I spend so much time in my kitchen with my family. It really is the hub where we always find ourselves hanging out. I know this kitchen will be used the same way. Everyone can gather around this gorgeous big island to help make dinner and chat about the best part of their day.

Mud Room

There is nothing better than a mud room right off of the garage. It is the perfect drop zone for everyone’s bags, shoes, and the million other things kids bring home.

Powder Bath

This powder bath is right off the mud room and laundry room, so I wanted to complement both of those rooms. The soothing wallpaper compliments the mud room, and the blue trim matches the cabinets in the laundry room.

Laundry Room

I wanted the laundry room to feel moody and fun at the same time. I loved this wallpaper because of the blue undertone, but the pops of color on it make it bright and cheery!

I’m so excited for the memories Ryan and Raegan are going to make in this home. My team and I had so much fun designing it!
