Can you believe it? Season 4 is finally here! I can’t believe we get to start the season with such a great house and adorable family.
Kristi grew up diving past this one and dreaming of making it hers one day. Who can blame her? The remarkable architecture is so eye-catching. She finished building her dream home with all the bells and whistles when this house hit the market. She couldn’t pass up the opportunity to live in her dream home, and the bargain price made the deal that much sweeter.

The exterior of this house was so charming. I mean, I’m envious of that circle drive! All it needed was some landscaping, shutters, and a fresh coat of paint to make this family feel right at home. The cherry on top? There were zero foundation issues!
Entryway
Rug: A Spring Day Art: That Perfect Kind of Day – Daisy Faith Furniture: Nebraska Furniture Mart
We needed to make the interior of this house match the beautiful exterior. To give the entryway a grand feeling, we raised the ceiling, added beautiful sconces, and charming trim work. Kristi pictured herself sitting here, watching her girls pull up the circle drive and looking out on the massive front yard. I love how this little space turned out.
Living Room
Rug: Call for Availability Art: Vulnerability – Robin Maria Pedrero Furniture: Nebraska Furniture Mart
Family is important to Kristi, so we wanted to make the living room the perfect hangout spot. With her Italian heritage in mind, we went with a plaster fireplace with a distressed mantel. The walls are painted a soft creamy white with a complementing trim color. This space perfectly blends traditional design elements with a modern flare. The living room checks all the boxes; it’s cozy, warm, and so comfortable.
Kitchen

Kristi loves entertaining and cooking big meals for her family and friends, so the kitchen was super important. We designed this beautiful chef’s kitchen with all the bells and whistles. The storage we added to the massive island is a dream for any chef. We wanted this kitchen to feel traditional and cozy but fresh at the same time. The custom built-in white oak hutch perfectly ties in the other living spaces.
Dining Room

Right off of the kitchen is the beautiful dining room. Kristi wanted entertaining to be at the forefront of this room. We added a wet bar with a wine refrigerator and beautiful mirrored tile backsplash that complements the kitchen’s built-in hutch. The navy blue cabinetry made the bar super moody and cozy. The wet bar perfectly compliments the original mid-century fireplace. I can already picture all of the amazing memories Kristi and her family will make in this dining room!
Mudroom

Kristi’s mudroom will serve a dual purpose. It will be a catch all for backpacks, coats, and shoes but also a perfect office space. The desk overlooks the huge backyard. Painting the cabinets this beautiful green and adding the butcher block countertop created the ideal desk. We continued the countertops from the kitchen into here to create a perfect little coffee bar.
Main Bedroom

Kristi’s main bedroom needed to feel like a retreat that she could enjoy at the end of the day. The patterned wallpaper on the ceiling is the perfect touch to make this space calming and cozy.
Main Bath
Shower Tile: Daltile Remedy in Elixir Shower Floor Tile: Keystones Arctic White Penny Rounds Floor Tile: Daltile Bee Hive Medley Countertop: Daltile One Quartz Statuary Glory
Kristi wanted her main bath to feel clean, bright, and serene. We went with a beautiful hexagon tile floor, quartz countertops, and modern subway tile in the shower. We surrounded the room with cabinetry and beautiful hardware, giving Kristi tons of storage and functionality. I imagine she and her girls will have so much fun getting ready in this bathroom with space for everyone!
I enjoyed designing every inch of this house, and I’m so excited for the memories Kristi and her family will make here.
