This year I have been spending a lot more time in my home gym. I have been working super hard and have been having a lot of fun! The weather is starting to change in Kansas, and the days are getting shorter. I usually find myself in a bit of a rut this time of year, and I don’t want that to happen this year! So, I decided to bring a little color and motivation into this space. Thankfully this was such an easy one day project to change the look of the room completely! 

 

I wanted a bold statement wall! I went with Dutch Boy ®  Forever™ Interior Paint + Primer. I was able to get everything I needed for the project at my local Menards store. This project went so fast with the help of the twist and pour container and I only needed one coat of each color. Plus, it has Arm & Hammer ™ odor-eliminating technology; how perfect is that for a gym? 

 

I went with a satin finish for each of the paints and used these colors:

  • Simplified Teal 233-7DB
  • Jungle Floor 125-5DB
  • Glitterberry 147-6DB
  • Mauv-Elous 347-3DB
  • Lime Flower 124-3DB

I love the fun, bright contrast each color has!

 

The hardest part of this project was making sure my lines were level! I wanted to add a few words of motivation. At first, I thought I would add things like lunges, push-ups, etc., but I don’t need to be reminded of what I am already doing in the room! So, I landed on what pushes me the most, lattes, wine, tacos, pizza, and candy!! LOL

 

I love the way this wall turned out! Dutch Boy ® simplified the whole DIY process; I didn’t have to run around to a million stores, wait for coats to dry, or deal with prying open paint cans.
